For this week's blog, I wanted to focus on the sale of residential properties along the Salinas-Monterey Corridor during the last twelve months. While our team is active selling real estate in Carmel and Pebble Beach, over the last eight years we have specialized in and commanded a majority of the market share in the luxury gated communities of Monterra and Tehama.
From March 2010 through mid-March of 2011 there have been 136 homes sold along the Salinas-Monterey Highway. 82 of these homes sold for below $750,000. 23 homes sold that were priced between $750,000 and $1,000,000. 24 homes sold that were priced between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. 4 homes sold priced between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000. And, 3 homes were sold above $3,000,000. Two of these homes, the highest priced sales of the last year, closed in Monterra earlier this month.

While these
sold statistics reflect only a snapshot of home sales in one geographic region, they do show a vibrant real estate market emerging, significant absorption over 2009 and 136 families, end users and investors that purchased homes in a beautiful and sunny corridor of the Monterey Peninsula. We are especially proud to see Monterra establishing itself as the premier, luxury gated residential community in this area.
